Signature Experiences

Magical experiences are designed to create unforgettable memories. Take a zipwire through the rainforest to dine in the treetops; snorkel in the house reef with our expert Marine Biologist; swim with manta rays in Hanifaru Bay, or let us take you by speedboat, to escape for a picnic on your own island hideaway.

Discover All Experiences

A person wearing a helmet and harness glides through a lush, green forest canopy on a zipline, smiling. The background is filled with vibrant leaves and dense foliage, offering an adventure reminiscent of a Soneva Exclusive Experience in the Maldives.

Zipline Experience

Experience the first-ever zipline in the Maldives and take in unforgettable ocean views and jungle vistas. At a height of 5 to 10 metres and overseen by our professional Zipline Rangers using world-class safety practices, the zipline takes a scenic route through the forest near our majestic water villas. With towering platforms and rope bridges along the way, it ends at an elevated dining tower raised 12 metres above the ground. This experience can either be done as a stand-alone experience or accompanied by a gourmet breakfast or dinner at Flying Sauces. Operating during daylight hours only, the zipline takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes; the Flying Sauces dining experiences take an additional 1 hour for breakfast and 2 to 3 hours for dinner. Each Flying Sauces experience is suitable for a maximum of 8 guests during the day and 16 guests in the evenings, aged 8 and above. Please note that this is the only activity on our island for which closed shoes are compulsory. We also suggest that you select clothing that allows lots of freedom of movement and which can be worn with a harness that has individual leg-loops. We can provide pouches for mobile phones should you wish to take yours along with you. Reservations may be done through your Barefoot Guardian and are based on availability.

Padel Tennis

Experience the world’s fastest-growing racquet sport, padel tennis, with our brand new island courts and a star-studded lineup of professional players through our Soneva Stars programme – now at Soneva Fushi and Soneva Jani. Practice your backhand, volley and smash under the Maldives’ azure blue skies, surrounded by lush jungle vistas and to the sound of waves gently crashing nearby. Following your game, cool down with a refreshing juice or nutritious meal at any of our dining destinations, where delicious, wholesome menus have been specially designed by our Soneva Soul wellness specialists to support you in achieving your long-term wellness goals. Among the first in the Maldives, our new padel tennis courts are open daily and are available for private or group lessons and friendly games.

Tall trees and various greenery surround the rectangular court at Soneva, creating a striking contrast between the structured sports area and the wild natural environment for an exclusive Maldives experience.

Tennis Court

It’s game, set and match at our island tennis courts. Perfect your topspin with Grand Slam champions through our Soneva Stars programme, or practise your backhand with one of our Hosts. Choose between our open-air or covered Olympic-sized tennis courts. Located near Fresh in the Garden and surrounded by lush jungle vistas, the courts are open daily from 07:00 to 24:00. Fully equipped and open to guests of all ages, bookings are on a first-come-first-served basis and can be made through your Barefoot Guardian.

Water Sports

We offer a range of complimentary non-motorised water sports at Soneva Fushi. This includes kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing and catamaran sailing. Private tuition is available at an additional charge on an hourly basis.

Eco-Friendly Surfing

Discover less chartered and secret surf breaks in the Baa and Noonu Atoll accompanied by our experienced surf instructor/guides. All surf breaks are accessible within a 5-35 minute speedboat ride. Surf season is dependent on Mother Nature’s mood, although it does peak from May through to September. Waves range from waist to head height. All of our equipment is eco-friendly and made from recycled waste, making us the first fully sustainable surfing programme in the world. We encourage our guests to leave their equipment at home. We provide full usage of our eco friendly and sustainable surfboards, sunscreen, and rash guards. All items (except for surfboards) are also available for retail. Introduction to Surf (Theory & Lagoon Lesson) This is offered for first timers in the safe and shallow waters of our lagoon. eFoil, eSurf & Seabob

Experience the ocean with complete freedom. Gliding, diving, skimming – all of this is possible with a SEABOB. Learn to move through the water like a fish, on the surface and beneath the waves. The SEABOB is environmentally friendly, moving powerfully and almost silently as you explore the marine world. eFoils use an advanced battery to power a silent electric motor that is mounted on an all-carbon fibre hydrofoil, which can be controlled with a wireless Bluetooth hand controller. Riders, from beginners to those already skilled on a board, can fly for over an hour of fun at speeds of up to 40km per hour! What happens if you fit a surfboard with a motor? You get an eSurf-board with a carbon fibre body that is hydrodynamic and stable. The board also houses the motor, and you control the handheld throttle. The eSurf lets you get up to speeds of 56km per hour, making this an exhilarating water sport.
