Our first festive season on Kunfunadhoo began with a tree, a handful of friends and a simple idea: that the season is about the people we love, the time we share and the joy of being together. The Rituals

Some traditions return. Others begin here.

Children create ornaments that find their way back onto the tree year after year. Santa crosses the water. Champagne breakfasts stretch into the morning. Invitations arrive by hand. Wishes are sealed for another year.

The Magic of Midnight

Across three islands, the year turns differently. Soneva Fushi falls dark before Boduberu breaks the silence beneath the stars. At Soneva Jani, seven courses unfold across the lagoon towards midnight. And at Soneva Secret, a wish sealed at sunset begins a journey into the new year.

In Good Company

Some remarkable people find their way to Soneva over the festive season.
