Jonathan Harman is an Airline Captain with British Airways and A Human Factors Safety Expert. Jonathan was previously a Captain at Ryanair (2013-2015) and a Business Jet Captain (2008-2013). During his career he has been trusted by dignitaries, politicians and celebrities. He has undertaken urgent organ transplant flights, diamond runs for jewellers across Europe, as well flown into designated war zones in the Middle East.
Collectively Jonathan has amassed over 8000 hours in the air throughout his 18 year career, flying more than 15 different types of aircraft. This professional knowledge is supported by a degree in Natural Sciences (Astrophysics). His academic work has been recognised in a co-authored paper for the University of Oxford on threats facing pilots through hacking, as a result of the new technological world we find ourselves in. As a Human Factors Safety Expert, Jonathan offers insights into the world of aviation, the human processes involved in both positive and negative decision making, and how we can apply the lessons learned to our everyday lives.
