Feb. 21, 23 & 26, 2020 | Soneva Fushi

Chiara, originally from Verona in Italy, started working at the one Michelin-starred Venissa in 2016, alongside Chef Francesco Brutto. She was recently nominated for The Best Female Italian Chef in Europe 2019. Just last year she won the Best Chef of the Year from L’Espresso.

Chiara’s cuisine is dominated by the abundant natural ingredients found around the town of Mazzorbo. By using artisan products from local farmers and producers, Chiara has crafted her own unique style that is embodied through her innovative dishes at Venissa. At the age of 20 she began working in the kitchen, where after graduating she began her culinary studies at the International School of Italian Cuisine in Parma. The young chef went on work in some of the most respected kitchens in Italy, including the kitchen at Zum Löwen Tesimo in Alto Adige and then as a Sous Chef at the two Michelin-starred Da Caino in Tuscany.
