Jan. 7, 2021 | Soneva Fushi & Soneva Jani

Château Musar was founded in 1930 by Gaston Hochar. In 1959, his son Serge took over, joined by his brother Ronald. The wine gained its first international acclaim in 1979 at the Bristol wine fair where the eminent critic Michael Broadbent propelled Musarinto the spotlight.
In 1984, Decanter Magazine distinguished Serge Hochar with their first “Man of the Year” award. Today, Château Musar is an internationally recognized brand exporting 80% of its production worldwide and members of the third generation are involved to continue this family business.
The wines are produced with the family philosophy of natural wine making and are split in three ranges: Château Musar : a rich and complex wine blend, Hochar Pere et Fils, and Musar Jeune which is fruity and modern.
