Rising out of the majestic Indian Ocean, Out of the Blue is a two-storey overwater hideaway that houses five unique all-day dining outlets and beach club facilities. From delicious grilled meats and seafood to teppanyaki, sushi and secret menus conjured by Michelin-starred chefs alongside seaside daybeds and our iconic slide that goes straight into the Indian Ocean – guests are truly spoilt for choice for a full day of fun in the sun.

Open from lunch until late, Out of the Blue’s dining options offer a wide range of international and Asian cuisines with a contemporary twist. Sit undercover close to the action of our South East Asian and modern Japanese kitchens or on the open-air deck, upstairs or downstairs, for unimpeded views in all directions. Or cool off with a dip in the ocean and a refreshing cocktail or mocktail to the soulful sounds of our in-house musician in a tranquil environment.

Menu Highlights

Dine on Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Indonesian or Vietnamese salads, grilled meats and seafood. Out of the Blue also houses: So Hot – a robata grill, Josper Grill and pizza area; So Guilty – our chocolate and ice cream parlour; and So Cheesy – our all-day cheese and charcuterie room.

I think that it is the use of the right combination of ingredients that we use that distinguishes a good and an excellent menu. Most of our vegetables and fruits are grown on the island. Our SLOW LIFE philosophy ensures we look at seasons, organics and biodynamics and animal cruelty-free products as well. At Out of the Blue, our menu reflects the best of cuisines from around the world.
