Chef De Partie – Thai and Western Kitchen

The ideal candidate is able to perform a variety of culinary duties associated with the preparation and presentation of Thai dishes, and have knowledge of western cuisine in strict accordance with Soneva’s dining services and procedures. They will ensure food safety procedures are followed and can perform cooking functions across all kitchens at Soneva; this includes buffet preparation, plate presentation, and outdoor dining. They should prepare all the assigned daily mise-en-place and food items according to predetermined recipes and guidelines as instructed by their superior. The candidate will also be responsible for checking all food requisitions and ensuring there is no over ordering of ingredients.
Education: Secondary school completion / Diploma in the culinary arts.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of culinary experience.
Language: Proficiency in Thai /English.
Other knowledge and skills: The candidate should be able to organize work orders and has good knowledge of kitchen operations. They should be creative, flexible, a team player, and have the ability to deal with stressful situations.
