Student: Intern-Research Volunteer

This volunteer opportunity is specifically designed for students who are currently enrolled in a college or university degree, or recently graduated. It involves conducting research on topics that we believe will aid our organisational capacity and inform our theories of change. Depending on the research topic and student preference, this could be desk-based research with remote engagement or on-site local island engagement. For on-site engagements, Soneva Namoona can assist with the coordination of logistics, accommodation and other requirements, however all costs will need to be covered by the volunteer.

In return: Upon successful completion of deliverables, you will receive a letter of completion and a certificate outlining your responsibilities, deliverables and hours worked for university credits or to strengthen your CV, including a reference letter if applicable. 

Professional: Project Based Volunteer

• Professional or students enrolled in graduate degree programs or higher with concrete set of skills offered as a value-add to the current Soneva Namoona team
• Maximum 1-page proposal on type of project interested in supporting, proposal to include: 
  1. Component and idea for project, or link to existing project within Soneva Namoona operations  
  2. Skills offered with supporting experience  
  3. Available and proposed timeline with realistic potential deliverables as envisioned by volunteer  
  4. During project implementation all costs will need to be covered by the volunteer  

In return: For guests of Soneva, there is a potential to make arrangements with Soneva for free extension of a future resort stay – depending on the quality of proposal and numbers of nights previously booked, planned for project work and occupancy at requested time (maximum 3 nights).
