Gregory Beale

Gregory Beale is an orthopaedic manual therapist, movement coach and spa trainer with over 15 years of experience working in the United States, Vietnam and Thailand. His unique approach combines manual therapy with exercise prescriptions to treat chronic pain, improve flexibility, increase athletic performance and aid recovery after injury. Each session includes a mix of trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, fascial stretching and corrective exercise. While at Soneva Kiri, Gregory is conducting manual therapy sessions at the Soneva Kiri Spa and personal training and movement classes in the Gym. He will also be running a series of complimentary movement classes and bodywork fitness sessions.

Vicky Ratnani

Born and bred in Mumbai, Vicky’s wit and charm has a duality that is reminiscent of natural Indian spice. A foodie at heart, he is a heady cocktail of flavours, some still undefined. The initial explosive burst of personality and flair is followed through with a wild imagination, delicately layered with sensual middle notes, being excitable, entertaining, inviting, spontaneous and devilish. Through his culinary journey, Vicky taught at the White Star Chef’s Training School onboard QE2, in Manila and St. Nazaire, training over 180 chefs. Currently, Vicky consults as a Culinary Director with GIPL and conceptualises restaurant menus and food concepts for places such as Pizza Express, The Runway Project, The Market Project, The Poona Project, Ministry of Crab and Nihonbashi. He is most recently revamped The Bandra Project, which is a communal style, casual-yet-chic, all-day eatery serving global cuisine. Vicky’s travels and his knowledge of global trends have led him to develop a web series called Vicky The Gastronaut, which is streaming on his Facebook page. The series has gained over 10 million views. He has filmed in Peru and Australia and is now filming the third part of the series at Chiang Mai in Thailand.

Treepod Dining

Take fine dining to remarkable new heights. Comfortably seated in a bamboo pod, we gently hoist you high up into the tropical foliage of Koh Kood’s ancient rainforest. Gaze out across the ocean as you savour gourmet delights and wines, delivered via your personal ziplining waiter. Guests can choose from our Gourmet or Luxury Picnics in the air. Our Luxury Picnic can be combined with champagne and prosecco tastings. The Gourmet Picnic lasts for 1 hour whilst the Luxury Picnic takes you on a 2-hour long journey. Please note, our bamboo Treepod is temporarily closed and will reopen with enhanced dining experiences for guests on July 9, 2023.

Koh Raet Snorkelling & Solar Reef

Soneva Kiri’s Solar reef garden, a man-made Eco solar powered reef. An artificial structure with coral transplantation grafted to it. This naturally attracts numerous species of fish which will settle and then choose it as a place for reproduction. The sculpture garden just off Koh Raet’s south coast is definitely one of the most unique dive sites around Koh Kood. Koh Raet, just 5 minutes from Soneva Kiri by boat, is one of Koh Kood’s most unique dive and snorkelling sites – with a dense natural reef, teeming with fish and crustacea, and a sunken sculpture garden, where you can spot an elephant, tiger, horse, cow and a dog on the sandy seabed.

Yai Ki Trek

Explore Koh Kood’s unspoiled rainforest ecosystems with a hike to the nearby Yai Ki waterfall. Cool off in the cascade and take a refreshing dip in the clear natural pool, then discover the nearby flora and fauna with our expert guide. If you would rather not hike, we can arrange for you to get to the waterfall by car. Only available between May and November.

Learn more about the local way of life on Koh Kood. Visit the Ao Salat fishing village, lose yourself in the natural beauty of the lush mangrove forest, and take a dip in the magnificent Klong Chao waterfall and its cooling freshwater pools.

Mushroom Cave Lunch

Join us for this dining experience, for a maximum of four guests, which features a menu that has been specially designed around our mushrooms. Take your time and savour a healthy and delicious five-course vegetarian Thai menu or a non-vegetarian Western menu made with more than six different varieties of mushrooms, all of which have been grown in Soneva Kiri’s Mushroom Hut. The main dish will be prepared live by one of our chefs, who will explain the nutritional benefits of mushrooms.

Learn the culinary arts from our talented team of chefs. Discover the secrets of authentic Thai cuisine with Chef Tuk, which includes a visit to the Ao Salat fishing village to source the freshest ingredients. Take a tour around our organic gardens with a cooking class at Colours of the Garden, including medicinal mixology with our Botanical Bartender. Ao Salat Seafood BBQ

Step aboard a wooden boat and sip on a glass of Champagne as the sun sets on the horizon. When you arrive at Ao Salat fishing village, you’ll be welcomed by a local family into their traditional house to experience their way of life, and indulge in a seafood barbecue, prepared by our chef from the freshest locally-sourced ingredients.
