Always ready to greet you with a gleaming smile (not to mention an uncanny ability to remember your favourite choices), this Sri Lankan-born chef is up before dawn to prepare a bountiful buffet to start your day. Choose from an abundance of freshly-cut fruit and home-made yoghurts to his famous hoppers, a breakfast delicacy from Sira’s homeland that is served with vegetables or meat.
A true island treasure, whose passion in the kitchen remains as strong as it was 20 years ago, this much-loved Tastemaker has passed on his love of cooking to his son, who has embarked on his own culinary career alongside Sira at Soneva Fushi.
