Soneva is proud to introduce the Festival of Colour 2018, which celebrates a diverse collection of activities and experiences across all of our resorts. The Festival of Colour runs from February 2018 to February 2019, and includes visiting Michelin-starred chefs, astronomers, authors, champion freedivers, glass artists, wellness practitioners and so much more.
Every month there is a new colour theme, each colour theme centres around a short film by the renowned French filmmaker, Bruno Aveillan. Each of his short films were shot at Soneva and were inspired by the palette of colours found around our resorts.
Regarding his inspiration for the series of colour films that bring the Festival of Colour together, Bruno Aveillan explained, “I discovered Soneva Fushi several years ago and found the experience unique not only because this is a fantastic resort, but because there is something really magical about it, something that awakens all the senses and is hard to put into words. From a purely visual point of view, besides the two main colours you would normally expect in the Maldives (the turquoise of the ocean and the white of the sand), with each day you spend at Soneva, you gradually begin to notice just how many colours you are surrounded by, a really wide, lush spectrum, yet very subtle and harmonious, where every colour feels in the right place, a world in total harmony…This is what inspired me in this series of films…”
