Soneva Jani’s second island villa began its journey of creation in March, 2018 and will have a spacious 1,787 metres squared of living space when it is complete. This beachfront residence has been fully customised by its owners to ensure there are large, open spaces that let in streams of natural light and allow for ventilation, it has its own pool and water slide, and the Soneva signature open-air garden bathroom.
The open kitchen and living area lead out onto an expansive deck, perfectly suited to lounging, relaxing and taking in the sun as it sets below the Maldivian horizon. This villa has a few standout features, including a tower with 360 degrees of uninterrupted views, ideal for stargazing. Villa 34 has also been designed with no straight edges or sharp corners, rather its design was inspired by the rolling curves found in nature. This flowing design draws in the eye and leads it gently along its unbroken lines.
This aspect of the design has made it an extremely complex and challenging build for the in-house Project’s Team, it is also the first time the in-house team has undertaken an entire villa build on their own. They have done an outstanding job with an incredibly high quality of construction.
