Down to Earth was my favourite restaurant. The soft-shell crab curry was out of this world. Great produce; perfect spicing; lovely depth of flavour. At breakfast the patisserie rivalled a Parisian boulangerie, and the selection and variety were outstanding. Out of the Blue must be one of the finest lunch spots in the Maldives. We were the first to try a new Thai-leaning menu. It was bloody superb; the chef asked us how spicy/authentic we’d like the som tam salad. Soneva Fushi has some of the best resort food, no, some of the best food you can get anywhere. The amazing breakfast buffet and the nightly food offering are fantastic. The best of local, Indian, Sri Lankan influenced food and the best produce flown in from Europe and Australia you can imagine. I will never forget my first breakfast dosa, or eating beautiful Iberico ham and French brie for lunch with a glass of good pinot from their excellent cellar. The new Out of the Blue restaurant set over the water takes things to a whole new level, not only amazing food and hospitality, but a private 8 seat dining room where food can be cooked by some of the greatest chefs in the world. …my visit at soneva fushi was coming to a culinary paradise, with the best maldivian dishes by chef sobah, amazing flavourfull thai food, a unique japanese sushi experience by Chef Kenji, i had the best pizza of my life and still dreaming about the ice cream room, that was open 24/7. honestly i want to be back to that paradise, as soon as i could...Tim Raue, 2* Michelin Chef
